ޑޮކްޓަރ މުޙައްމަދު މުޢިއްޒަކީ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ 8 ވަނަ ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާއެވެ. ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާކަމުގެ ޤާނޫނީ ހުވައި އެމަނިކުފާނު ކުރެއްވީ 17 ނޮވެމްބަރު 2023 ގައެވެ.

ސިވިލް އިންޖީނިއަރިންގގެ ދާއިރާއިން، ޑޮކްޓަރ އޮފް ފިލޯސަފީ (ޕީއެޗްޑީ) އެމަނިކުފާނު ޙާޞިލްކުރައްވާފައިވަނީ އިނގިރޭސިވިލާތުގެ ލީޑްސް ޔުނިވަރސިޓީގައެވެ. ތަޢުލީމީ ޙަޔާތުގައި، އިބްތިދާއީ މަރުޙަލާއިން ފެށިގެން ޕީއެޗްޑީ ޙާޞިލްކުރެއްވުމާ ހަމަޔަށްވެސް އެމަނިކުފާނު ވަނީ މަތީ ނަތީޖާތަކެއް ޙާޞިލްކުރައްވައިފައެވެ. މަޝްރޫޢުތައް ރާވައި ހިންގުމުގައި ދުނިޔޭގެ ފެންވަރުގައި އެންމެ އިތުބާރުހުރި ސަނަދުދޭ އެއް މުއައްސަސާކަމުގައިވާ އެމެރިކާގެ ޕްރޮޖެކްޓް މެނޭޖްމަންޓް އިންސްޓިޓިއުޓުން، ޕްރޮޖެކްޓް މެނޭޖްމަންޓް ޕްރޮފެޝަނަލް (ޕީއެމްޕީ) ސެޓްފިކެޓްވެސް އެމަނިކުފާނު ވަނީ ޙާޞިލްކުރައްވައިފައެވެ.

ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ޑޮކްޓަރ މުޙައްމަދު މުޢިއްޒު ދިވެހި ސަރުކާރަށް ޚިދުމަތްކުރައްވަން ފެށްޓެވީ 1998 ވަނަ އަހަރުގެ މާރިޗްމަހުއެވެ. އަދާކުރެއްވި ފުރަތަމަ ވަޒީފާއަކީ މިނިސްޓްރީ އޮފް ކޮންސްޓްރަކްޝަން އެންޑް ޕަބްލިކް ވަރކްސްގެ ޕްލޭނިންގ ޓެކްނީޝަން ޓްރޭނީއެއްގެ މަގާމެވެ. ސަރުކާރަށް ޚިދުމަތްކުރެއްވުމުގެ އިތުރުން، ރާއްޖޭގެ އަމިއްލަ ބައެއް ކުންފުނިތަކުގައިވެސް އިސް މަގާމުތަކެއްގައި ޚިދުމަތްކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި ސިޔާސީ ބައެއް ޕާޓީތަކުގެ އިސް މަގާމުތައްވެސް ފުރުއްވާފައިވެއެވެ.

2012 ވަނަ އަހަރުގެ ފެބްރުއަރީ މަހުން ފެށިގެން 2018 ވަނަ އަހަރުގެ ނޮވެމްބަރު މަހަށް، ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ބޯހިޔާވަހިކަމާ ޢުމްރާނީ ތަރައްޤީގެ ދާއިރާގެ ވަޒީރުކަމުގެ މަގާމު އެމަނިކުފާނު ފުރުއްވި އަހަރުތަކަކީ، ރާއްޖޭގެ ތާރީޚުގައި މިހާތަނަށް އެންމެ ގިނަ ގެދޮރުވެރިކަމުގެ މަޝްރޫޢުތައް ކާމިޔާބުކަމާއެކު ހިންގުނު ދުވަސްތަކެވެ. އަދި އެންމެ އުސް ޢިމާރާތްތަކާ އެންމެ ބިޔަ ޢުމްރާނީ މަސައްކަތްތައް ރާއްޖޭގައި ކުރިއަށްދިޔަ ދުވަސްތައްވެސް މެއެވެ. އަދި އެންމެ ގިނަ މަގު ތާރު އަޅައިގެން ހެދުމާ، ބިން ހިއްކުމުގެ އެންމެ ބޮޑެތި މަޝްރޫޢުތައް ފަށައި، ކާމިޔާބުކަމާއެކު ނިންމި ދުވަސްތައްވެސް މެއެވެ. މީގެ ތެރެއިންވެސް ވަކީން ޚާއްޞަކޮށް، ސިނަމާލެ ބްރިޖް، ދަރުމަވަންތަ ހޮސްޕިޓަލް، ހިޔާ ފްލެޓްތައް، ހައްދުންމަތީ ބޮޑުމަގު، މާލޭ ރިންގް ރޯޑް، މާލޭ އިންޑަސްޓްރިއަލް ވިލެޖް، ހުޅުމާލެ 2 ވަނަ ފިޔަވަހި ބިން ހިއްކުން ފާހަގަކޮށްލެވެއެވެ. މާލެ ސިޓީގައި އެންމެ ގިނަ ޕާކްތަކާ ބަގީޗާތައް ނިންމައި ހުޅުވާލާފައިވަނީވެސް އެމަނިކުފާނުގެ ބެއްލެވުމުގެ ދަށުންނެވެ. މީގެ އިތުރުން، ރާއްޖޭގެ ވަރަށް ގިނަ ރަށްތަކާ ސިޓީތަކުގައި ބިން ހިއްކުމާ، ބަނދަރުހެދުމާ، ފެނާ ނަރުދަމާގެ ޚިދުމަތް ފަދަ ތަރައްޤީގެ މަޝްރޫޢުތައް އެމަނިކުފާނުގެ މިނިސްޓަރުކަމުގައި ވަނީ ހިންގައިފައެވެ.

ވެރިކަންކުރާ މާލެ ސިޓީގެ ރައްޔިތުންގެ ސީދާ ވޯޓަކުން، މާލެ ސިޓީއަށް އިންތިޚާބުކުރި ފުރަތަމަ މޭޔަރަކީވެސް ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ޑޮކްޓަރ މުޙައްމަދު މުޢިއްޒެވެ. 17 މެއި 2021 ން 17 ނޮވެމްބަރު 2023 ށް މާލެ ސިޓީގެ މޭޔަރުކަމުގައި އެމަނިކުފާނު ހޭދަކުރެއްވި 2 އަހަރާ 6 މަސްދުވަހުގެ ތެރޭގައި މާލެ ސިޓީ ފެހިކޮށް ޗާލުކޮށް، ރައްޔިތުން އެދޭ އަމާޒަށް ހެޔޮ ބަދަލުތަކެއް ގެނަސްދެއްވުމުގައި މަޤްބޫލު މަސައްކަތްތަކެއް ވަނީ ކުރައްވައިފައެވެ. އަދި މޭޔަރުކަމުގައި ހުންނަވައިގެން ސީދާ ރައްޔިތުންގެ ގޭގެއަށް ސިލްސިލާކޮށް ޒިޔާރަތްކުރައްވައި، ހާލުބައްލަވައި، އެކި ކަންކަމުގައި ސީދާ ރައްޔިތުންނާ މަޝްވަރާކުރެއްވުމުގައި އެމަނިކުފާނު ވަނީ ނަމޫނާ ދައްކަވައިފައެވެ. ލާމަރުކަޒީ ނިޒާމު ނަގަހައްޓައި ކައުންސިލްތައް ބާރުވެރިކުރުވުމަށް އެމަނިކުފާނުގެ މޭޔަރުކަމުގައި ވަނީ އަޑުއުފުއްލަވައި ވަކާލާތު ކުރައްވައިފައެވެ.

ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ޑޮކްޓަރ މުޙައްމަދު މުޢިއްޒު، އެމަނިކުފާނުގެ ރިޔާސީ ދައުރުގައި ދިވެހީންގެ މިނިވަންކަން ކަށަވަރުކޮށްދެއްވައި، ރައްޔިތުންގެ މެދުގައި އިންސާފާ ހަމަހަމަކަން ޤާއިމުކުރައްވައި، އިސްލާމްދީނާ ދިވެހި ޤައުމިއްޔަތުގެ އަސާސްތައް ނަގަހައްޓަވައި، ގެދޮރުވެރިކަން ޔަޤީންކޮށްދެއްވައި، ތަރައްޤީގެ އައު ޒަމާނެއް ދިވެހި ޤައުމަށް ގެނެސްދެއްވުމުގެ މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވާނެކަމަށް ވަނީ ރިޔާސީ ކެމްޕޭނުގައި އިޢުލާނުކުރައްވައިފައެވެ.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is the 8th President of the Republic of Maldives. He took his oath of office on 17th November 2023.

President Dr. Muizzu received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. During his academic life, Dr. Muizzu always stood out as a studious, well-versed student who achieved academic excellence, leading up to his doctorate. He has also attained Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from America’s Project Management Institute (PMI).

President Dr. Muizzu’s service to the government began in March 1998 with his first job as a Construction and Public Works Planning Technician Trainee at Ministry of Construction and Public Works. In addition to serving the government, Dr. Muizzu also served in some key positions in the private sector. He also held key positions at political parties in the Maldives.

His years as Minister of Housing and Infrastructure from February 2012 to November 2018 marked unprecedented success in the implementation of housing projects in Maldivian history. The Maldives also witnessed the construction of the tallest buildings and biggest infrastructure projects under Dr. Muizzu’s leadership, with multiple road projects and land reclamation projects coming to fruition. The Sinamale’ Bridge, Dharumavantha Hospital, Hiya Flats, Hahdhunmathi main road, Male’ Ring Road, Male’ Industrial Village, and reclamation of Hulhumale’ Phase II stand as a testimony to Dr. Muizzu’s visionary leadership and service to the nation. With the completion of multiple parks and public spaces under his supervision, Dr. Muizzu truly transformed the face of Male’ City. During his time as Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Dr. Muizzu saw the successful completion of multiple land reclamation, harbour development, and water and sewerage projects across the atolls.

President Dr. Muizzu is also the first Mayor of Male’ City to be elected through a direct vote of the residents in the capital Male’ City. In his two years and six months as Male’ City Mayor from 17 May 2021 to 17 November 2023, Dr. Muizzu worked tirelessly to transform Male’ City into a greener, more pleasant environment. His efforts as Male’ City Mayor has been well received by the public. During his mayorship, Dr. Muizzu led by example, working closely with the citizens in the capital, making house calls to gain a better understanding of the living conditions in the city, and actively advocating for decentralization and empowerment of local bodies.

President Dr. Muizzu, during his presidential campaign, pledged to ensure the freedom and security of Maldivians, justice, and equality among people. He pledged to uphold the values of Islam and patriotism, and to bring a new era of development to the nation. In his first address to the public as President of the Maldives, Dr. Muizzu reiterated his commitment to his pledges.
